
Our Vision
Cod & Capers was founded in 1984 by Stephen Gyland. From the very start, we have been dedicated to offering the freshest seafood in Palm Beach County.
Having been a commercial fisherman, Steve had plenty of knowledge to bring to the industry. His passion for fresh seafood did not remain a secret for long; the tiny seafood market soon started receiving requests for deliveries from local restaurants. Cod & Capers has grown so much since 1984, but we still focus on quality; that will never change!
Today, our business consists of a Wholesale Department, an expanded Seafood Marketplace, and a Café.

We love to fish and spend time on the ocean, so you can rest assured that sustainability (and the longevity of the seafood industry) is important to us. Our understanding of the care that must be taken to preserve freshness and quality from the moment the fish leaves the water is helpful in how we receive and process our fish and seafood here at Cod & Capers.
